People are unaware that there is a distinction between a whey protein shake and a whey protein isolate shake, just as there is a distinction between a whey protein bar and a whey protein isolate bar. Both are absolutely safe to consume; all you have to do is choose your poison and stick to it. I have compiled a list of some whey protein bars you should certainly try, as well as some whey protein bars you should avoid at all costs.
DETOUR LEAN MUSCLE WHEY PROTEIN BAR
The detour lean muscle whey protein bar was created exclusively for people who desire to build lean muscle or just maintain their current level of lean muscle. The Detour lean muscle whey protein bar is without a doubt the greatest protein bar I have ever come across. I say this because of the amount of protein it contains.
There are 32 grams of protein in one protein bar! This is greater than the majority of protein shakes available on the market. That is very incredible. This fact truly astounds me. I also enjoy that it only has 3 grams of sugar in it so it is safe to consume for people with sugar problems. Despite the fact that it is designed for people who are trying to gain muscle, I would recommend this protein bar to everyone.
Cookie dough caramel crisp and peanut butter chocolate crunch are the two flavors available. There are 33 grams of carbohydrates, 370 grams of calories, and 12 grams of fats in total. I recommend only eating one protein bar per day because the carb content is significant.
Overdoing it will only result in weight gain that could have been prevented. The detour lean muscle whey protein bar is truly revolutionary. You don’t even need to drink a protein shake to get the job done. Simply eat one of these protein bars before or after your workout and you will be fine.
ZING BARS WHEY PROTEIN BAR
I know I am always telling you about the greatest protein bars to try and all of their benefits, but today I am going to tell you about a protein bar that you should avoid. The zing bars whey protein bar is what I’m referring to. This is without a doubt one of the worst protein bars you will ever come across, and I strongly encourage you to avoid it.
A protein bar’s objective is to provide you with all the protein you will need for the day. That is not the case with the zing bars whey protein bar. This whey protein bar has only 6 grams of protein and 100 grams of calories in it. Another high-protein snack can help you get additional protein, and because of this, I do not believe that the zing bars whey protein bar should be classified as a protein bar.
However, there is a silver lining to all of this: it includes only 4 grams of sugar and is available in a variety of flavors. I am aware that there are a lot of picky people out there. You have no idea what you prefer, therefore you must taste all the flavors. Zing bars whey protein bar recognized this and ensured that there were more than two flavors available.
Coconut, mint, dark chocolate peanut butter, and peanut butter chocolate chip are among the flavors available in the zing bars whey protein bar. This is actually the first time I have come across a coconut-flavored protein bar. This, I suppose, is what sets it apart from the competition.
FITCRUNCH WHEY PROTEIN BAR
Last but not least, there is the fitcrunch whey protein bar. This protein bar is great because it is neither too high in protein nor too low in protein. It’s properly proportioned. There are 16 grams of protein and 190 calories in this serving. Yes, it may not contain as much protein as the Detour lean muscle whey protein bar. It doesn’t quite match the Detour lean muscle whey protein bar, but it’s still a fantastic protein bar.
Many people will not want a protein bar with high protein content. This is due to the fact that eating too much protein is harmful to your health and should be avoided. If you are one of those people who avoid eating high-protein bars, the fitcrunch whey protein bar is great for you. This protein bar is something I would recommend to anyone who is trying to reduce or maintain their weight.
The fitcrunch whey protein bar has only 3 grams of sugar and is gluten-free. Sugary foods should be avoided at all costs. It has the potential to have a major detrimental influence on your health. Fitrcunch whey protein bar recognized this and created a whey protein bar with only 3 grams of sugar.
Chocolate peanut butter, apple pie, caramel peanut, chocolate chip cookie dough, cinnamon twist, lemon cake, milk and cookies, mint chocolate chip, peanut butter and jelly, and a variety pack are among the flavors available in this whey protein bar. The peanut butter and jelly flavor were what initially drew my attention. I have never seen a protein bar with a peanut butter and jelly flavor before. It is unquestionably worthwhile to give this a shot.
MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION
You now have all the information you require to make an informed choice. To be honest, if it were up to me, I would choose the detour lean muscle whey protein bar over the others. It basically checks every box when it comes to becoming the ideal protein bar. I can assure you that this protein bar will not disappoint you, and you may even save money.
To fulfill your daily protein target, the majority of protein bars on the market assume you will drink a protein shake. You do not have to worry about that when it comes to the detour lean muscle whey protein bar because it contains 32 grams of protein. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section. I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I had no idea there was a distinction between why protein drinks and whey protein bars. So thank you for bringing that to my attention. Protein bars are always my preference because they taste so much better. When I’m in a bad mood, I’ll have a protein shake. I like how you contrasted the two. I will certainly take the time to consider what I have before I have it.
Thank you for your feedback. I truly appreciate it!
I found your review when researching for new Whey protein bars. I Found your review useful with the detailed review of each protein bar. Really going to have to try FitCrunch Whey protein bar from your review. Going to bookmark and share your review with my social followers and maybe your review help others as it did me.
Thank you for your feedback. I hope my article helps you.
Your article hits the target as I’m concerned. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I’m getting more and more serious to become the best martial artist I can. But I don’t want to get big muscles. I want to build lean muscles. So, the detour lean muscle whey protein bar seems to be the perfect fit for me. The peanut butter chocolate crunch is my choice.
The fitcrunch whey protein bar seems even better. But I don’t know if this bar helps you to build lean muscles.
The fit crunch will help you build muscle but I would suggest that you stick to the detour lean muscle whey protein bar.
I find it interesting that protein bars have the potential to provide so much good protein that can help someone fulfill the necessary protein requirements they need each day. Getting enough protein for your muscles and your body is important, and it’s really nice that you can get it in such a convenient way as these protein bars you have reviewed.
Thank you for your feedback.
I did not know the difference between whey protein isolate and whey protein. Thanks for explaining Its great that the Detour bar has so much protein! The Fitcruch bar has just the right amount of protein for me. I now know my options when it comes to buying whey protein bars
Thanks so much for this post!
Do try out the detour bar. It is one of the best in the business.
Hi Daniel, I don’t as a general rule eat protein bars as they usually don’t taste that nice in my opinion, though I’ve not tasted the ones you mention in your article, so I might be wrong. I tend to eat the bad stuff but in smaller quantities if I’m looking to lose weight, which doesn’t always work. After reading your piece about whey protein bars, I might just give it another go. Your article has certainly made me think again. However, if I eat something like this, potentially it could be quite dry, so I need something good to wash it down with. Is there anything that you could recommend? Best wishes Tony
You can wash it down with a protein shake! Haha. I would suggest that you try out the pure protein shake. I actually have an article about it on my website.
I liked your advise about “picking your poison” and sticking to it. It can be easy to get overwhelmed and then do nothing, and when you do nothing you don’t see any improvement. For novices, sometimes any growth is better than no growth at all.
That being said, it’s also important to have a basic understanding. Thanks for breaking out the macros of each bar in your comparison, that makes it much easier to make a quick decision.
Thank you for your feedback!
I enjoyed your post on protein bars especially because one of them was Gluten Free. When you are a Coeliac it can often be a problem to find this type of product. The fact that it has many different flavours is also an added bonus as well. Mint Chock Chip and Lemon Cake sound delicious.
I am glad you enjoyed my post. That is really nice to hear!
What are the differences between a protein bar and a protein shake? Why does too much protein correspond to a decline in health? What was the importance of mentioning the Zing Bars Whey Protein Bar? What are the minimum and maximum amount of time someone should take to try the bars listed? Why would anyone stick with a bar that isn’t the ideal choice?
I think your article succeeds in explaining the implications and ramifications concerning each bar. Also, you make it clear why it would be a wise idea to choose one of three bars, especially the Detour Lean Muscle Whey Protein Bar. In the end, you consider all sides of the bar and gift your readers with an abundance of knowledge and foresight — very informative!!
The difference is in the amount of protein and carbs each contain. A protein shake usually contains more protein and more carbs than a protein bar. It also contains more calories. Remember that too much of anything is not good for your health so too much protein can have a negative effect on your health. I mentioned the zing bar just to ensure that individuals avoid it. Take one protein bar per day. Maybe because they are struggling to find their ideal choice so they stick to one that they are most comfortable with.
I always get so hungry when I read your reviews on protein bars and the Detour bar is so exceptional with its 32 grams of protein. Wow, that’s a lot of protein in one bar. In fact, I don’t think that I have heard of that much protein before? I also liked your recommendation for a bar to avoid. The Zing bars are way too light on protein to really be anything more than just a treat and 100 calories, ouch!
If you are keen to build lean muscle then the Detour sounds perfect.
Neither have I. Hence why I was so shocked when I came across this protein bar!
I had no idea there was a distinction between why protein drinks and whey protein bars.
I use more protein bars. Before very much, now not so often. Detour Lean Muscle Wey Protein Bar and its description makes me put it on the list of priorities.
I use protein bars instead of chocolate, but I still use 70% cocoa chocolate.
Instead of protein shakes, I make lemon juice to which I add garlic and honey.
Respectfully
Vasile,
I would recommend that you consume both protein shakes and protein bars as your body needs as much protein as it can get.
You hit the nail on the head with this one. I’ve tried all the Fitcrunch bars and my only complaint with them is that they are huge. It’s definitely a meal replacement bar too. I haven’t even seen the Zing Bars anywhere. Are they a sub-brand, like how there are cliff bars and cliff builder bars (which are my personal favorite)?
The detour bars are great too. I don’t go into my local convenience store often, but when I do, I can’t walk out without a Cookie Dough Caramel Crisp or two.
No, a zing bar is not a sub-brand but I would not recommend it to you. I would recommend the detour bar.
You’re right- This is the first time I’ve heard the differences between a Whey Protein Bar a Whey Protein Isolate Bar. At one point during my fitness journey I drank a Whey Shake every day for about a year and lost 15 lbs. I supposed I got tired of making the shakes every day. Perhaps I could do the same with these bars- eat one a day as a meal replacement. 32 grams of protein is amazing to have in one bar.
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Daniel, I enjoyed reading your material on choosing the whey type protein bar. I had no idea before reading your informative article that there were so many choices available in the area of Protein bars. I understand from the article that one must choose the best available bar and then stick with the choice. My question that I have is can these nutrition bars be used to entirely replace food for a period of time, or should food be used after a certain time has passed?
Protein bars should not be used to replace foods. It should be used as a snack.
I like the clarity you provided with this article. I never knew there is such differences between the protein bars. I have tried a protein bar a few times and sometimes the taste put me off.
It’s also interesting that you mention that too much protein is bad for us.
I’ll definitely be looking out for the FitCrunch protein bar next time.
Do try it out and let me know what you think!
