The majority of protein powders are nearly identical. A lot of them include approximately 20-25 grams of protein (just a handful have more than 25 grams). Most of them have around 110-120 calories. This means that before purchasing a protein shake, an individual must be absolutely certain.
I did my research and found four of the top protein shakes in the world. I have provided you with all the information you will need. These protein powder reviews will give you additional information about the various protein shakes. It will also improve your understanding.
NOW MICELLAR CASEIN
NOW micellar casein is first on my list of protein powder reviews. If you are a physically active person, this 19-gram protein is ideal for you. It’s a complete protein that digests slowly and has an excellent amino acid profile. Each scoop contains a total of 4 500mg of amino acid.
I would advise you to avoid this product if you are having digestive issues. It thickens when you mix it and that could upset the stomach. It will impede the protein shake’s passage into the intestines. Each container has approximately 34 scoops. This is ideal because it will keep you going for more than a month.
A scoop of NOW micellar casein contains approximately 24 grams. Milk is one of the other substances you will find in this protein supplement. It’s high in protein, egg-free, corn-free, nut-free, soy-free, sodium-free, and gluten-free.
Just a friendly reminder: if you’re trying to lose weight, you shouldn’t use this product. It should only be used if you wish to build muscles. Just like any other protein shake, store it in a dry cool place after opening.
VEGA PROTEIN AND GREENS
On my list of protein powder reviews, Vega protein and greens would have to come in second. It is a plant-based protein shake. Vega protein contains components like peas, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and alfalfa. I believe it is an excellent protein shake for vegetarians.
There is a protein powder for everyone. It does not matter if you are a vegetarian or a meat-eater. Or whether you are trying to lose or gain weight. This list of protein powder reviews includes everything you need to know and more.
The vegan protein and greens protein smoothie have 30 grams of protein, which in my opinion is a lot. This protein shake contains sour cherry extract to provide flavour to the shake and it should be consumed after a workout.
This protein drink should be taken after a workout because it will speed up the recuperation process and give you noticeable benefits in no time. It has a gritty chunky texture that distinguishes it from the other protein shakes on this list of protein powder reviews.
SLIMFAST DIABETIC WEIGHT LOSS MEAL SHAKE
SlimFast diabetic weight loss meal shake is one of the best shakes to ever come into the market. Diabetics were taken into account when developing this product. This is why I would include it in my protein powder reviews list.
This shake has a total of 10 grams of protein and zero grams of sugar. It’s high in fiber and can be consumed on a daily basis. It can be used to substitute for a meal. You will not gain weight while consuming this shake. If you’re trying to lose weight, it’ll be excellent for you.
SlimFast diabetic weight loss meal shakes have specific ingredients that aid in carb and sugar management. The only disadvantage to this product is that it will not last you for the entire month. There are only 14 servings per container. If you drink it every day, it will only last you 14 days.
It’s available in a range of flavours to suit everyone’s preferences. This product is really affordable, so you will not have any problems purchasing it. Some ingredients include sunflower oil, chocolate, inulin, salt, and natural and artificial flavors.
NAKED NUTRITION EGG WHITE PROTEIN
The naked nutrition Egg White protein smoothie is the final protein powder in my protein powder reviews list. This protein drink is incredible. It is primarily made up of egg whites, which are an excellent source of protein. NON-GMO eggs, as well as other natural ingredients, are utilized to make naked nutrition egg whites protein drinks. Sunflower lecithin is the only other component utilized in the production process. There are no artificial sweeteners or colours in the naked nutrition egg whites protein shakes. It’s one of the most basic protein shakes available, yet it’s still quite effective.
Naked nutrition egg whites protein smoothies are included in my protein powder reviews. It offers 25 grams of protein, 110 calories, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, and 380 milligrams of sodium. When compared to the other protein shakes on this protein powder reviews list, it is quite mediocre. That does not detract from the fact that it will get the job done and leave you very pleased with your results.
MAKE THAT KEY DECISION!
So there you have it: four of some of the world’s top protein shakes. I can assure you that none of the protein drinks on our list of protein powder reviews will disappoint you. In fact, you will be astonished at how quickly and efficiently these protein shakes work.

Hey this is a great article especially to those who are after protein shakes!
I know my brother will definitely find this post useful, he at the moment is on the look out for some awesome shakes. The gold standard 100% whey protein shake seems the best to me especially with all those flavour options.
Would you know if the gold standard is vegan?
Thanks!
The gold standard is currently number one in the world. It the best protein shake in the world so believe me, your brother will see great results. Unfortunately it is not vegan.
All of these look like good protein powders. I like the fact that none of them get their protein from soy, which too many protein powders do. This is especially surprising for the one that’s suitable for vegetarians. It goes to show that there are healthy sources of plant based protein.
All you need to do is to look. There is a protein supplement out there for everyone.
I like the sound of the Protein Shake you mention at the end that is made up of egg whites. I especially like that there are very few ingredients in it and it seems natural. Is this a good shake for somebody who just wants to get enough protein in without bulking up?
This protein shake is perfect for someone who does not want to bulk up. It will just help you in muscle recovery but will not necessarily build muscle. It’s completely safe to use.
A lot of interesting suggestions here. I was wondering since I have no experience with protein powders what makes one better than another and how do I choose which one would do better for my body? Is there anything I should be looking for in particular or it is only a trial and error thing?
It all depends on the amount of protein they all consume. Certain protein shakes have 24 grams of protein and others contain 30 grams of protein. It all depends on the company. To choose the best protein shake for your body I need to first know if you suffer from any chronic illnesses. Then we can take it from there. It could also be a trial and error thing. It took me a while before I found the perfect protein shake for me. So you just need to be patient.
Hey,
This is truly a post that guides people through the vast array of protein products. This is for beginners as well as for people who are already using it.
It is really pleasant to view and analyze your top 4. It contains all the necessary data and even other things that the other products do not mention. This clearly inspires confidence.
Even people with health problems are warned by you about potential side effects. (It’s like a medicine insert).
Various people can choose the most suitable product according to what they need it for bodybuilders, meat-eaters, vegetarians, diabetics, people who want to lose weight, etc…
Especially “SlimFast diabetic weight loss meal shake” appeals to me because I am diabetic myself.
It is therefore important that people first do a kind of self-study of what they personally want, and not rashly go and buy just anything.
You make this sufficiently clear on your website. Well done!
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is truly pleasing to be able to help people out so I am glad that my article could help you. Good luck on your fitness journey.
I really appreciate the helpful details you’ve provided on these protein powders. I’m a total newbie and I appreciate that you have anticipated my biggest questions! I don’t want to get something that will upset my stomach, so it’s very helpful to know the effect of the protein powder on the stomach’s pH level.
Will adding these powders to a morning smoothie be an effective way to add them to my routine? Is there a way that I can purchase a small, single-serving pack of these so that I can be sure I’ll like it?
You should add these protein powders to your morning routine. It will give you the energy to take on the day. Unfortunately, you cannot buy them in smaller packaging. But that should not stop you from purchasing yourself one.
This post gave a whole new meaning to how I look at Protein Shakes. Previously I thought that all Protein Shakes were basically the same. Here you identified four very distinct products. May I assume that the first one uses animal-based protein? The others were very clear as to what was their main ingredient.
I have never tried veggie-based protein shakes so that would be my first choice to try.
Cheers.
Edwin
Yes it is an animal-based protein shake. You should definitely try out the vegan protein shakes. I’m sure you’ll love it!
Great information on protein shakes. I wasn’t aware Slimfast offered a version and was very surprised to learn it was in powder form. I’m so used to seeing their meal replacement shakes in cans on the shelves at the grocery store. Of the four mentioned today, the Slimfast version is most appealing to me. I don’t want to ‘bulk’ up, in fact I’d rather get rid of some of the ‘bulk’ I have accumulated over the past year or so.
Well you learn something new everyday. Do try out the slimfast! You will be happy with the outcome.
You have one for someone active, one for someone to take after being active, a weight loss one and a one size fits all one. It’s a variety that would suit most people. I know very little about protein shakes, only that my husband, brother and brother in laws all love them. Here’s the thing though. None of them are active. They take them because they are gamers that would forget to eat or drink. or would eat and drink all the wrong things, when they don’t have protein shakes available.
Personally, I think shakes takes the fun out of eating, but seeing the good it does for these previously unhealthy gamers I can genuinely say shakes are a great option if you need to boost your protein intake.
I have to disagree with you. Protein shakes does not take the fun out of eating. They taste good (depending on the flavour you purchase). But it does not take away the fun of eating. Consume it as a snack.
